Frigidaire recalled over 350,000 refrigerators Feb. 8 after it received reports of plastic breaking off and landing in the ice bucket, posing a laceration or choking risk.
The manufacturer, Electrolux Group, received 343 complaints of plastic pieces breaking off, including two incidents where people suffered lacerations and ingestion injuries from plastic dispensed from the ice bucket.

The refrigerators were sold at Lowe’s, Home Depot and other stores nationwide, and online at Frigidaire.com from November 2015 through September 2019 for between $1,400 and $2,400.
The affected products are Frigidaire’s side-by-side refrigerators equipped with slim ice buckets. Their model numbers include DGHK2355TF, DGHX2655TF, FFSC2323TS, FGSC2335TD, FGSC2335TF, FGSS2635TD, FGSS2635TE, FGSS2635TF, FGSS2635TP, FPSC2277RF, FPSC2278UF, FPSS2677RF, LFSC2324VF, LGHK2336TD, LGHK2336TF, LGHX2636TD and LGHX2636TF.
Consumers may visit the company’s recall information page and input their refrigerator’s serial number to find out if the unit has been recalled. The model and serial number are printed on a serial plate inside the refrigerator compartment.
