The Home Depot is a lovely place to work at. The management is super nice and will help you all that they can, they are very flexible with their hours as I am a student athlete and have a lot on my plate. I love working there and would recommend to anyone.

I like the safety that is implemented into the system, as well as the customer service that we give to people. Helping people is our number one priority because they come to the store because they need something not because they want something. I would like to see a change in training new employees because when I first went I was lost and nobody really came up to me and helped I had to go and seek in an environment that I was not familiar with.

Working at The Home Depot is dynamic, offering new challenges daily, which I thrive on. The camaraderie among coworkers fosters a positive environment where everyone is willing to lend a hand. However, I wish corporate would acknowledge the physical demands of the job, particularly for roles like cashier or at the service desk, and provide more opportunities to sit and rest during shifts.

I’m a Head Cashier so my responsibilities includes positioning and assisting all cashiers and lot associates, handling money, addressing customer’s situation, supervising, assisting other departments, and delegating manager tasks. I work part time while in college so the flexibility works for me and the pay is not bad, but I feel i could be payed more of being in charge of around 30+ people. Management can either be somewhat helpful or not at all honestly. The other associates are nice, most people are willing to help each other, the job is a lot of teamwork.

The people in my immediate work circle are supportive and encouraging. The people in upper management are discouraging; to the individualism of the employee and to work ethic as standards are not held to predetermined expectations.

In home depot I liked the environment among my co-workers. They were all very helpful when I started working there. Helping me get up to speed by explaining what to do in certain situations and who to ask for certain situations. They would kindly explain everything and tell me how everything works. My co-workers would make sure that I knew in each department we work as a team and help each other when needed. We got a reasonable fifteen minute break through our shifts and we did not have to when working we could take out time to steadily get everything done. Overall I would say it was a nice place to work for people looking for a job.

The Home Depot has been a great place to work. When I was searching for a job one of my goals was to work at a company where I would be able to learn. The Home Depot had positions for plumbing, for electrical, for Lumber, for Tools, for Flooring...it was almost overwhelming when I first started. I started in the Lumber Department and while I had to get pretty dirty with concrete and wood chips, the knowledge I gained was well worth it. I would be extremely comfortable DIYing roofing projects, deck building, fence building, and framing. After a few years, I moved to the Paint Department. There I learned about staining processes, types of paint and what is better or worse in different scenarios. Even simple things like sanding to a professional finish. I knew nothing about anything before I worked at The Home Depot, it was kinda embarrassing. With 4 years under my belt, I feel like i can accomplish all sorts of DIY home improvement projects. I picked a great place to work!

The people I worked with were amazing, but the management was a mess. There were regulars I made lasting relationships with who are still friends today.

Definitely a full environment to work in. Also appreciate the fact. It was fully remote. Especially coming out of the pandemic. It made me feel safe.

It has great pay, at least for me being a part-time student in high school. It also has great benefits, and they have been very felxible with my schedule, as it gets busy with my school activities. The work environment could be better but its not bad.

It’s a really nice place to learn a lot of new things such as customer interactions and how to manage things such as money. One thing I would like to change about the Home Depot would be the way they schedule people, as it’s very confusing and there is not much assistance when it comes to changing my availability.

My overall experience working at The Home Depot has been very great. I started working with this company as my college job just trying to pay the bills. I have now graduated college and make more money with The Home Depot than what I would do using my degree. They are great at recognizing hardworking associates and make an effort to create a great atmosphere. Management for the most part tends to genuinely care about their associates and their well-being. With the two stores I have worked at there has been little to no issues with the company, only minor issues. One of my favorite things about working with this company is the time and effort put into different celebrations for the associates. For example, one lady who hit her 30 year mark of working with the company was given a party in the break room with a special made cake and food for her dedication to the company. This company has so far been my favorite job and would recommend it to anyone in need of work.

I enjoy working at the home depot. Keeping the shelves stocked, helping customers with their projects, and helping the store look its best is satisfying. Only thing I would like to see change is how management treats employees. Some managers are great but others don’t show appreciation for one’s work.

At first I started off in the lot and it seemed relatively easy but then as you experience the weather changes and everything you notice the physically demanding aspect but I have gotten a lot of experience throughout the store in many different departments which led to me being offered a spot inside in tool rental where I was interviewed because I had already been helping in their and then soon given the new position where I get to have fun and be in an area I know more about with the tools and it is genuine good work for a full time student to work part time for.

While working at The Home depot for about 3 years my experience has only ever been pleasant. From the managers being extremely understanding, to the environment being very welcoming. When it comes to changes there aren’t many I would do, perhaps the pay would be nice to see a change but overall great place.

For an eighteen-year-old girl, The Home Depot is a decent place to work. Despite not knowing much about construction, home repairs, or landscaping, I’ve had a good experience working at a place that solely focuses on that. The company offers very good support for employees in any kind of need both monetarily and emotionally. One of my favorite things that the company offers is a dollar for dollar match retirement program. By the age of seventeen, I started my 401k all thanks to The Home Depot. This amazing offer is helping me save for later in life before I’ve gone to college or even entered the non-retail workforce.
