Ausable Chasm River Tubing (Clinton County)

"The Grand Canyon of the Adirondacks" has been drawing visitors for decades. Over 15,000 years in the making, a hike through this historic chasm can be one of summer's great memories. But why not kick it up a notch and float through the chasm! Since Hurricane Irene tore through this area in 2014, you can no longer shoot the rapids here, but you can take a float down a one-mile stretch of the river and admire the historic canyon walls along the way. It can get windy in the chasm and the water can be ice cold, all adding to the excitement of your visit. Extremely popular with families and groups.
