Hey Brita! Thank you for bringing another great question to planDisney! I'd say most people visit The Happiest Place on Earth to brave the newest attractions or get a chance to meet their favorite character. Those are all great, but I like to go to Disneyland Resort for the snacks! You could, in fact, say that Disney food is one of my top love languages.
Now, this may seem odd, but my absolute favorite snack at Disneyland Resort is the popcorn. I know, it sounds so silly, but there's just something about it. Disneyland popcorn just hits differently and there are bonus points if it's in a souvenir bucket. The other park snack staples that you will most likely see my family grab are the pickles, a Dole Whip from The Tropical Hideway (they have more flavors than just pineapple), and churros.
In Disneyland Park, you have to give the hand-dipped corn dog from Little Red Wagon on Main Street, U.S.A. a try. After we brave our boat ride on Pirates of the Caribbean, we take a left through the alleyways and head to the Mint Julep Bar to share a bag of Mickey-shaped Beignets. And of course, we can’t leave out the epic eats from a galaxy far, far away. While visiting Batuu in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, you must stop by the Milk Stand for blue or green milk. It seems to be a touchy subject on which milk is the best in Batuu, but I’ll let you know prefer blue milk. My favorite mid-day snack, the Ronto Wrap, is not far away at Ronto Roasters. Lastly, before you leave this world, you must stop by Oga’s Cantina for unique drinks. This location does require reservations, but I have been successful in getting on the walk-up list in the Disneyland app when I am in Batuu.
Over in Disney California Adventure Park, we tend to grab light eats throughout the day. We love stopping by the Cozy Cone Motel to grab a Chili Cone Queso or try a new flavor of popcorn. Currently, my kids keep requesting to grab some eats at Pim Test Kitchen in Avengers Campus. They love filling up on their own mix of soda at the Coca-Cola Freestyle Machine and trying to finish a Quantum Pretzel all while peeking across the way to the Avengers Headquarters hoping to see their favorite Avenger. Now, I’ll leave you with my most favorite place in all of Disneyland Resort – Lamplight Lounge. We love taking a midday break here while we watch Guests get taken on quite an adventure chasing Baby Jack-Jack on Incredicoaster. If you love local craft beer, my husband and I think Lamplight Lounge has the best selection in the parks. And you can’t go and not get the Lobster Nachos! This is also a table service location the requires reservations. These tend to go quick in advance, so again I recommend trying to join the walk-up list in the Disneyland app. It will become available here and there throughout the day, so keep trying.
Now I wouldn’t be a friend if I didn’t suggest a treat for the ride home. The Churro Toffee Square can usually be found at Trolley Treats, Candy Palace and Candy Kitchen or Marceline’s Confectionery. It’s just perfection.
